USCGAux 70th AnniversaryWelcome to the web site of the Coastal Carolina Division of the Coast Guard Auxiliary! Our over 200 members are volunteers, men and women who are working to make our waterways safer for the boating public and to support the U.S. Coast Guard.

 

The Division is organized into seven Flotillas that are located in Eastern North Carolina, where the beautiful waterways and Coast provide an outstanding setting for recreational boating.

September 19, 2009

Division Commander Ed Jacunski returns to his seat at the 5th Southern District Conference, in Chesapeake VA, after receiving the Coast Guard's Meritorious Team Commendation Award.

Division Commander Jacunski recieved the award for his recruiting efforts during the past several years.

NORTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY - SENATE BILL 43

On 10 July 2009 North Carolina Governor Perdue signed into law Senate Bill 43 to “Require Boating Safety Education.” This act becomes effective 1 May 2010. In short, the bill requires anyone under 26 years old who operates a boat with a 10 hp motor or greater to have passed a Wildlife Resources Commission or a NASBLA-approved boating course. Operators must present proof of having passed the course.
